ATLANTA – FEBRUARY 15, 2016 – United States Naval Academy Midshipman Zac Dannelly has been awarded one of 35 Gates Cambridge Scholarships to continue his education at England’s University of Cambridge. The prestigious postgraduate scholarship, established through a donation from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, has previously been awarded to Scholars from 103 countries and 600 universities including more than 200 schools in the US.
Dannelly plans to seek a Master in Philosophy in Technology Policy at Cambridge’s Judge Business School.
Dannelly is the first Stamps Scholar to be awarded a Gates Cambridge Scholarship and joins other Stamps Scholars who have previously received nationally prestigious academic awards including the Marshall, Rhodes, Fulbright, Schwarzman and Goldwater Scholarships.
