On Saturday, March 25, 2017, Stamps Scholars at 24 universities participated in the second annual Stamps National Day of Service. This year’s theme, commUNITY: uniting to serve, encouraged Scholars to give back through volunteering in ways that fit the needs of their local communities. Collectively, Stamps Scholars provided over 100 hours of service at local food banks, community gardens, clothing and goods distribution sites, and neighborhood restoration organizations. Students also planted tree saplings to restore Louisiana marshes, worked with developmentally and intellectually disabled communities, and participated in a diaper drive to provide sanitary resources to children in central Ohio.
